Taco John’s Introduces Six New Sirloin Steak Burritos
From Cheesesteak to Sriracha, these burritos belong in the Hall of Fame
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (June 19, 2018) – Building on the success of last year’s Sirloin Steak Street Tacos, Taco John’s is announcing a lineup of six new Sirloin Steak Burritos which are available through Sept. 2.
The innovative lineup of Sirloin Steak Burritos include: Cheesesteak, Sriracha, Meat & Potato, and the Steak & Shrimp burrito. For breakfast, there’s the Breakfast Triple Meat burrito and the Breakfast Steak & Potato burrito.
The decision to introduce these menu items was based on the results of what was supposed to be a limited-time-offer (LTO) in 2017. Last year’s Sirloin Steak Street Tacos were so successful, they graduated to permanent status on the menu board.
“Anytime you have an LTO make it up to full-time on the menu, you know you have something special,” said Alan Wright, Vice President of Marketing. “Our customers spoke loud and clear about having sirloin steak on the menu. They want it. They voted with their pocketbooks. And our sales left no doubt.”
Carl Blackbird, Test Kitchen Chef for Taco John’s, said the final lineup of Sirloin Steak Burritos is the culmination of a two-year process where more than 20 different sirloin steak burritos battled it out for consideration.
“We really experimented,” Blackbird said. “And then we market-tested each one. The final grouping represents the burritos that our customers scored the highest. It was like an old west showdown and these six burritos came out on top.”
The commonality in the burritos is sirloin steak. While other QSRs offer lesser steak products in their menu items, Taco John’s insists on offering sirloin steak.
“We use top quality sirloin that is hand-cut at every location to ensure our guests are only served the best,” Wright said. “That’s what our customers are used to. That’s what we stand for. It’s about the food. We’ll continue to offer the highest-quality ingredients.”
Also included in this LTO is an encore summer performance of sparkling lemonades. Through Sept. 2, Strawberry Sparkling Lemonade, Prickly Pear Sparkling Lemonade, and Blue Raspberry Sparkling Lemonades are all available for $1 during “Happy Hour” — from 2- 5 p.m.
