From L-R: Jim Creel, Mayor Marian Orr, Diana Tafoya, Rhianna Brand, Gregg Jones.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (June 13, 2018) –  Today, Taco John’s International CEO Jim Creel and Jonah Bank EVP/Cheyenne Branch President Gregg Jones presented a $22,054 check to Grace For 2 Brothers and several other state-wide suicide prevention programs, the culmination of a month-long fundraising campaign.

Throughout May, Taco John’s and Jonah Bank of Wyoming joined forces to fight the rising incidence of suicides across Wyoming. During the campaign, participating Taco John’s and Jonah Bank locations collected donations, with 100% of the proceeds going to suicide prevention organizations across the state. Every community with a Taco John’s and/or Jonah Bank that participated is receiving a portion of this donation.

“We are honored to have had the opportunity to help support the life-saving work that these organizations do in Wyoming on a daily basis,” said Creel. “We couldn’t have made a donation of this magnitude without the generous support of our communities. It was heartening to see everyone band together for such a meaningful campaign. I truly hope that our efforts have raised awareness across Wyoming and that everyone who is currently struggling knows that there are people out here who care. We care.”

“The real heroes of this campaign are the suicide prevention organizations that are regularly helping people in desperate situations facing life and death decisions,” added Jones. “We hope the extra funding raised from this campaign will enable these organizations to reach deeper into our communities to deliver the message that there is hope.”

“We can’t thank Taco John’s and Jonah Bank enough for their generous support of our organization and others across Wyoming,” said Rhianna Brand, Director of Operations at Grace For 2 Brothers. “We also thank their customers for their donations, which we will put to use immediately to help reduce the incidence of suicide across our state.”
